Geological Engineer – Geotechnical PM

Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com) is seeking a highly skilled Geological Engineer / Project Manager to lead a broad portfolio of civil infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. This role provides the opportunity to work on technically challenging geotechnical projects while managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality solutions that have a lasting impact on the region’s infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee geotechnical projects including slope stability, rockfall mitigation, landslide assessment, dam and retaining structure design, and other related infrastructure projects with scopes up to $10 million. You will be responsible for managing teams, conducting technical design and conditional reviews, overseeing field investigations, providing oversight of all sampling and laboratory testing activities, and ensuring transportation, energy and associated federal projects are executed on schedule and within budget. Additional responsibilities include developing proposals, reviewing cost estimates, coordinating project schedules, and maintaining strong client relationships throughout all project phases.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience in geological engineering or engineering geology, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geological Sciences (Master’s preferred), and registration as a Certified Engineering Geologist and/or Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon, Washington, or California. Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills are required.
