Principal Civil Engineer

Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com) is seeking an accomplished Principal Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership and strategic oversight for land development projects in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. This senior position encompasses the management of commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, with responsibility for guiding project design, approvals, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage all civil design activities, including site layout, grading, earthwork balancing, erosion control, storm drainage, detention systems, water quality, and utilities design. This role requires close coordination with project management teams, municipal agencies, and external consultants to secure project approvals, while providing mentorship and guidance to project teams to ensure design accuracy, compliance, and adherence to budgets and schedules.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of civil engineering experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and active PE licensure in North Carolina. Proficiency in Civil 3D, outstanding communication skills, and demonstrated leadership ability are required.
