Key Responsibilities Include

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee complete project lifecycles from conceptual engineering and feasibility evaluations to detailed mechanical system design, construction administration, and commissioning oversight. You will manage multidisciplinary internal and external teams, lead technical reviews, and coordinate closely with architects, electrical engineers, facility owners, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and mission-critical operations groups. Responsibilities will include HVAC capacity planning, load calculations, chilled water and air-side system design, CFD analysis interpretation, equipment selection, controls integration, and system redundancy planning. You will be accountable for ensuring projects align with owner requirements, compliance standards, procurement budgets, mission-critical uptime expectations, and energy-efficiency targets. Your leadership will help establish best practices, mitigate engineering risks, maintain schedule integrity, and deliver infrastructure that meets the rigorous demands of high-density, always-on environments.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred), possess an active Professional Engineer (PE) license, and have 10+ years of progressive engineering experience designing, delivering, and managing HVAC and mechanical infrastructure for mission-critical environments, data centers, or large-scale commercial projects. Candidates must demonstrate mastery of high-performance HVAC systems, thermal management strategies, ASHRAE standards, energy modeling, and systems integration within sensitive, continuously operating facilities. Proven leadership experience directing engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers, engaging with clients, and managing stakeholder expectations is essential. Strong presentation skills, technical clarity, and the ability to navigate fast-paced project environments with confidence will define the top candidates.
